The London Workshop:

Past, Present and Future of London’s Architecture

We are thrilled to announce our new holiday camp: The London Workshop!

This engaging workshop introduces children to London’s architectural history, iconic present-day structures, and imaginative visions for the future. Through interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and model-making, your children will develop creativity and an understanding of the built environment.

On the first day, we will discover London’s history, how it was initially settled, and why our beloved city has such diverse architectural styles. Children will learn the story of London from the Romans to the present day and how it grew over time while exploring the types of building materials used in different periods.

On the second day, we will walk through modern London. The city's present features—skyscrapers, bridges, and stadiums—will be explored. Modern and contemporary Architecture and the recent city layout will be our main topics.

On the third and final day of our workshop, we will imagine the future of London, discuss what we want to change, design future buildings, and manifest our vision for the city's growth. The workshop will end with a final presentation, during which all children will present their projects to the whole class in an Architectural Studio setting.

Each day is designed for children to sketch, draw and build models.

The workshop fee is £195 (3 days).

%20 percent sibling discount is available upon request.
(1 day: £75 and 2 days: £140)
